as a declaration of ambition the artist has endeavored to produce 52 cut paper collages before the end of 2026. this piece represents the 13th collage in the series.

as the year progresses the finished art from some will surely go towards shirts or prints or to use by bands, but at present the objective is to omit any works produced specifically as band/brand commissions from the 52 tally. not all collages within the series will be made available for purchase.

this original “winged helmet II” piece was constructed in the same manner as all other GIVE UP works: assembled from original photographs shot by the artist that have been manipulated and re-sized on a photocopier for contrast and toner degradation. in this instance the 4 individual photos used were collected in various locations over the course of 10 years. the respective elements then cut apart and reassembled using scissors and glue for a final collage built in 5 pieces. fine details and shadows added in ink and china marker. signed and dated in pencil.

presented framed under glass in a black brushed metal frame with white mat, ready to hang (in-frame photos shot with glass intact - please forgive any glare in documentation). collage image area measures ~6.75" x ~4.5", affixed to 8” x 6” heavy black card. total presentation with frame measures 8.375” high x 6.375” wide x 0.875” deep.
