as a declaration of ambition the artist has endeavored to produce 52 cut paper collages before the end of 2026. this piece represents the 17th collage in the series.

as the year progresses the finished art from some will surely go towards shirts or prints or to use by bands, but at present the objective is to omit any works produced and used specifically as band/brand commissions from the 52 tally. not all collages within the series will be made available for purchase.

this original “hammered” piece was constructed in the same manner as all other GIVE UP works: assembled from original photographs shot by the artist that have been manipulated and sized on a photocopier for contrast and toner degradation, with the respective elements then hand collaged using scissors and glue. fine details and shadows added in ink, correction fluid, and china marker. final collage affixed to heavyweight acid free black card stock. signed and in pencil on front, dated on reverse.

presented framed under glass in a black brushed metal frame with white mat, ready to hang. actual collage image area ~6.75” x ~5” on 8" x 5.5" card. total presentation with frame measures 8.375” high x 6.375” wide x 0.75” deep. (framed photos shot with glass intact, please forgive any glare in documentation).
