original imagery from welding glove both used beyond expiration and photographed by the artist. then devolved for contrast, grit, and toner distortion on a photocopier before being color-separated by hand. defining details for the respective color layers by blocking out on a light box to match the blue, red, and grey color pattern of the original weave on the glove itself. no photoshop or other computer assistance.
final artwork hand-pulled by GIVE UP as a three-color screenprint using acrylic ink on 100 lb steel grey acid-free cover. signed and numbered in pencil for a total print edition of only 30. no printer’s proofs or studio proofs.
