artwork comprised from original photos shot by GIVE UP, photocopy manipulated and collaged with scissors & glue, true to size, with further fine details added in ink and china marker. color layers hand separated on a light table, creating a final image without the use of photoshop or other computer means (per artist process standard). printed on 7-ply maple 32" x 8.25" skateboard. large wolf and swords image exceeding wheelbase across bottom, with ‘give up’ razor blade at tail.

two-color, hand-pulled screen print in light grey and near-black acrylic ink. decks stained on top and bottom in a color value evolving across the edition from black to dark blue to a swirling deep purple. signed, dated, and numbered in metallic silver paint marker on reverse.

print process enthusiasts will note that these were printed without the use of a skateboard-form screen or deck hold-down jig. instead opting for a DIY southern engineering and tape-mark registration approach, in keeping with the nature of previous GIVE UP works. producing an occasionally less-than-100% true screen alignment, with the slight deviations adding to the artistic value and merit of each individual piece. not an object of mass production, but a stand alone art piece unto itself within the scope of the edition, showcasing the artist's hand.
