original illustration, hand drawn using black stabilo pen on 100 lb acid free card cover. paper measures 8” x 12” with roughly 5.75” x 9.5” image area. signed and dated in pencil. presented here in 9” x 13” x 0.75” black frame with dark grey mat. glass removed to prevent glare in documentation. frame ships with glass intact, ready to hang.

i was fortunate to get to do several variations on moth/skull mashups while tattooing. drew this one up with the full intention of it going into skin, but stepped away from doing tattoos before i got the chance to make that happen.

outside of the tattoos themselves i’ve never offered any of my original illustrations to the public. found this one while looking for something else and felt it would do better going to someone else’s home where it might be seen and appreciated. i’m not confident that any other original pen illustrations from my time tattooing still exist, as once the tattoo was finished i frequently didn’t feel i needed the drawing anymore.
