in the earliest days of GIVE UP art (circa ‘01/‘02) layered spray-painted stencils on paper regularly sat alongside the more prominent screen printed editions. the original razor blade image however never made it outside of street application in stencil form until now.

utilizing the same stencil that has been used to spray hundreds upon hundreds of razors on public surfaces, these works on paper represent a tangible piece of the authentic ephemeral article. never meant for pristine execution the slight under-spray variances make each a unique piece unto itself, as well as keeping true to quick-work nature of street art.

sprayed using black enamel based spray paint on heavy 96 lb acid free white card cover. image area measures roughly 10.25” x 14.25” within the 12” x 16” frame of the paper. signed in pencil for authenticity.
