building my own self fulfilling prophecy of regret, this HATRED SURGE piece marks only the 18th prized collaged original ever to be relinquishment from my personal portfolios since 2001. offered here to a good home before i change my mind and put it back in the files.

constructed in 2023 in the same manner as all other GIVE UP works: assembled from original photographs shot by the artist, photocopy manipulated for toner distortion, contrast, and size. the respective elements then hand collaged using scissors and glue, with fine details and shadow added in ink and china marker. (the final artwork was then enlarged to LP size and used for the covers of the limited band copies of the “horrible mess 2005-2007” collection album that sold out in minutes).

presented here matted and framed under glass, signed and dated on reverse in pencil, and ready to hang. actual collage image area measures 9 3/4” x 9 3/4”. total presentation with frame 12 7/8” high x 12 7/8” wide x 1/2” deep. (framed photos shown without glass to save glare in documentation - finished product ships with glass in frame.)
