11" x 14"
acrylic and ink on 100lb paper
signed/numbered edition of 30
"...after some years of doing intentionally crude stick 'n poke tattoos in nefarious environments, an industry friend encouraged me to refine my craft and see what might be achievable using professional inks and needles within the sterile field of the tattoo shop. i made a 'flash sheet' of illustrations both relevant to GIVE UP visual history, and practical with regard to the hand-poked tattoo process. originally created as a 'gift with purchase' as each wearer got a tattoo..."
the HTX FLASH SHEET is produced in a screen printed edition of 30. hand pulled by the artist in dark grey on 100 lb, acid free paper stock. each print is then signed, numbered, dated, and embellished in purple marking pen. making each piece out of the edition unique. this 4th sheet in an ongoing series makes reference - some blatant, some less obvious - to elements relevant to texas, houston, and the greater gulf coast. a small number being made available here for anyone out of geographic range of the tattoo shop, or not ready to commit to a permanent mark.
prints ship flat in an oversized envelope with a chipboard backer.
